I'm a graduate of Victoria University of Wellington (BA Theatre & English Literature 2009 - 2011) & The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where I earned a Masters in Classical & Contemporary Text (Acting) in 2014. This included a month-long residency at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London. Since graduating, performance highlights have included When the Rain Stops Falling (Tron Theatre, Glasgow), The Main Yvette (Edinburgh Fringe & Rich Mix London), & In Other Words (Lyric Hammersmith, London). In 2017 my solo show What Would Kanye Do? received development funding from Creative Scotland before debuting at Edinburgh Festival Fringe where it was shortlisted for the Scottish Arts Club Theatre Award. My writing has been published in print in the 2014 collection Letter to an Unknown Soldier (Harper Collins), & in a 2019 collection titled Fresh Ink published by Auckland publishing house Cloud Ink. In 2019 I was a dramaturg for Dance/Performance Art show Rosemary, which won best dance at the Auckland Fringe Awards. Find out more details about my work at https://claremarcie.com/
