Since 2000, the Arts Foundation have been on a mission to build a culture of giving to the arts: a growing movement of people who believe artists and creatives are central to a thriving Aotearoa New Zealand. We invest in the most important capital of all: people.

Support The Arts Foundation Te Tumu Toi with a gift in your will and help future generations of outstanding New Zealand artists thrive. We award outstanding artists, advocate that creativity is essential for New Zealanders, and promote the arts – through annual roadshows, video story-telling and getting the arts into the media.

A gift in your will is one of the most powerful ways to back creativity. It’s not about looking back – it’s about shaping what comes next. It’s a legacy that ensures artists continue to be seen, supported, and celebrated for generations to come. By leaving a gift, you’re standing with the people who built this Foundation – and with the creatives who will shape Aotearoa New Zealand’s future.”

Hamish Edgar, Arts Foundation Te Tumu Toi Co-Chair and Son of Founding Patron Sir Eion Edgar and Icon Whakamana Hiragna Awards funder.

Ways You Can Support

Once you have made provisions for loved ones, there are several ways you could support the Arts Foundation with a gift in your will. All gifts are gratefully received, whether large or small, your support will make a difference and power the arts.

I believe in artists – their power to see what others can’t. Being made a Laureate in 2009 was life changing for me, I want to give back to The Arts Foundation to ensure future generations of artists are empowered to follow their calling. That’s why I’ve left a gift to the Arts Foundation Te Tumu Toi in my will.”
