A Gift in Your Will & In Memoriam Gifts
A gift in your will is one of the most powerful ways to ensure you leave the arts better than you found them. Help future generations of outstanding New Zealand artists thrive, no matter how large or small, every bequest makes a difference.
Tax Effective Giving
The first $500 of all Kotahi giving levels is treated as an annual membership subscription fee, in return providing benefits.
For Kotahi gifts greater than $500 you will receive a receipt for the donation portion above $500 for your records. In New Zealand, individuals can claim 1/3 of the value of eligible donations over $5, up to their taxable income.
This satisfies the IRD guidelines requiring charitable donations to be free of benefits in order for donations to be tax deductible.
If you would like to give to the Arts Foundation from the UK or USA, please contact us directly for tax effective options.
Where Your Giving Goes
The Arts Foundation Te Tumu Toi is 100% powered by generous givers across Aotearoa New Zealand. So where does your money actually go?
We're a not-for-profit charity; so it's your generosity that enables us to continue backing the arts and creativity for the benefit of all New Zealanders.
Arts Foundation Te Tumu Toi General Manager / Kaiwhakahaere Jessica Palalagi, Phillida Perry, 2019 Laureate Pietra Brettkelly, and Arts Foundation Te Tumu Toi Lead Jo Blair at Kotahi drinks in Tauranga.
Together, We Can:
- Award outstanding artists across the country with financial gifts and recognition.
- Raise the profile of the arts on the national agenda (so that our artists are celebrated like our sports stars!).
- Connect early-career artists with senior artist mentors
- Teach creatives and creative organisations how to raise funds for their work
- Energise more people across the regions to talk about the impact of creativity
- Get the arts in the news
- Be one united voice for the arts
