Derrick Sims
I've been making movies since I was a 9-year-old living in rural South Arkansas. In 2016, my family shifted from the United States to Aotearoa New Zealand. While most of my on screen credits are as cinematographer and editor, I've directed two features (Come Morning and The Perfect Host: A Southern Gothic Tale) and written five. Still giddy as a schoolboy when it comes to movies, I've dedicated nearly three decades of my life to the love and pursuit of cinema.
