Kathie Irwin
Kathie Irwin and Associates specialises in education, research and training. I founded the company in 2020. The company brand was launched in 1914, the year that my 14 year old maternal grandmother decided that education was her future!
She created an intergenerational legacy of Māori women educationists. I am the third generation, after my mother, her daughter. The company logo is taken from my moko kauae, gifted to us by Sir Derek Lardelli. It speaks to the themes of growth that is sourced in ancient wisdom and the courage to take our message to the world. Our strategic vision is to indigenous humanity, our mission to champion 'E tipu, e rea'.
