The Chris Priestley NZ Folk Songbook Collection

Some passed on through the generations, some learned from the songwriters themselves. All from my songbooks collected and handwritten over  many decades .

50 historic NZ songs both collected and original telling stories of NZ's distant and colorful past plus 75  NZ folksongs collected over more than 4 decades written by many of our top songwriters and including many photos 

 Some available on  LP's, Cassettes & CD's  or go to the Chris Priestley Songbook playlist on youtube for historic footage . Also many are available on Bandcamp, Spotify and other online outlets.

All the songwriters (who are still with us) are excited about this concept. 

To print and publish this Songbook in an effort to keep these important songs alive and available.

As well as the folk community, this collection of historic NZ folksongs could be available in libraries and schools to help inspire a new generation of NZ songwriters.
