Future Fund

Dear Arts Foundation Future Funders,

It's amazing to watch this fund grow. Thank you for being part of it. As a consequence of the $1000 koha that you're gifting to artists on Boosted, as well as the need out there, we are experiencing unprecedented demand for Boosted. We're receiving the number of projects we'd normally launch in a month, each week - and this week we have launched the most projects ever at any one time.

Special thanks to the remarkable Hawkins family of Auckland, who yesterday dropped a $10 000 gift to the Future Fund to get us three quarters of the way there. They have a special connection with contemporary music, and have come in now, backing the support the Future Fund and Boosted is giving to the #SaveOurVenues campaign - a campaign where local venues around Aotearoa are trying to keep alive for their artists by fundraising on Boosted.

Special thanks also to Wellington's Chris Parkin who helped us rebuild the site, uncannily just before our friend Covid-19 made her/himself known. The site can handle the traffic we're experiencing - it's strong as an ox - and it appears we need it to be!

By next Wednesday we would have given out 46 x $1000 koha to artists since we launched BoostedLIVE two weeks ago. We would like to honour our intention to artists and build the fund to $100,000 and give out another 64 gifts. We'll be letting them know it's first in first served soon - but if you know anyone who can help get us to $100,000 this week, we'd love you to forward this email to them and rally.

After just 3 and a half weeks, we are proud to say we're just under 95% of the way to our Arts Foundation Future Fund goal of $100,000. Please share this with any friends or whānau tonight, and help give the fund the last leg up! It closes at midnight tonight!

We are still being inundated by artists, ready to launch and receive a leg up when they hit $1,000 on their Boosted campaigns.
