Supernova: Back the Next Generation of Artists

Unbelievable – together we've raised $47,000 in just seven days (including a phenomenal $10k gift!) – pushing us well over the halfway mark. With 66% of our $250,000 goal raised, the momentum is real – and it’s all hands on deck to get us to the finish line.

We’ve been blown away by the generosity pouring in from so many of you (from innumerable Arts Foundation awarded artists to generous friends and whānau – including our GM Jessica Palalagi’s mum and dad – icons!). THANK YOU for stepping up with so much momentum for New Zealand's young artists. Please know we see all your generous donations come in, and there is a resounding cheer around our AF office every time! 

But we’re not done yet…

We still have a way to go (gulp) to reach our ambitious $250,000 target before 20 October. Remember every donation – big or small – is doubled thanks to our five incredible match-funders.

This is our chance to give more outstanding young artists a $25,000 Springboard Award – backing them at a pivotal moment with funding, mentorship and a bit of breathing room to take risks. We’ve already secured 5 Springboard Awards for 2026 – now let’s get to 10!

You’ve all come out in support of the future of the arts in Aotearoa. From artists and arts supporters to our Kotahi Giving Collective and Trustees – this community is showing up in force for our one-month mission to raise $250,000 for early-career artists.

Thanks to you, we’re already over a third of the way there. Three Springboard Awards are fully funded for 2026, and we’re close to a fourth. Now, let's get us to 10!
