Warm Dobros and Buzzing Speakers

As a grassroots, independent, owner-operated venue, run by two business partners who also work day jobs and do hundreds of hours annually of unpaid work for the venue; we operate on a very limited budget where we rely heavily on secondhand equipment. 

Much of our essential infrastructure is now over 20 years old, and is no longer reliable or safe for long-term use.

This project aims to secure funding to replace or repair these critical pieces of equipment, ensuring we can continue operating safely and professionally for artists and audiences alike.

What the money will go towards

Hospitality Equipment: 
Our large commercial display chiller is at the end of its lifespan. It is the most vital piece of equipment for our hospitality operations aside from the tap beer system. 
This fridge is over 20 years old, and has been repaired twice so far during 2025. We have now been advised, given its age and condition, that it would not be worth spending the thousands of dollars to replace the key components that are failing. 
As such we have had some temporary repairs done to tie us over for another month or two while we attempt to fundraise enough money for a replacement fridge, for which we've been quoted up to $5000.

PA System:
Almost every component of our PA system (including speakers, amps, mixing desk, and monitors) is also decades old, and in need of servicing, repair, or complete replacement.  
Most recently our power amp driving the foldback monitors (how artists hear themselves on stage) failed during soundcheck. Luckily we were able to borrow another one to get us through the night but, unfortunately that amplifier is beyond repair and needs to be replaced.
It is just a matter of time before the rest breaks down. 
Repairs, maintenance and replacement of these components is likely to cost between $3000 - $5000 depending on condition.
