Waikamania Seve
Waikamania Seve (Ngāti Hine, Ngāti Wai, Iva Savai‘i, Sauniatu) is an emerging artist from Whangārei in Te Tai Tokerau, Aotearoa. Born and raised in the north, she has developed a strong passion for performance that boldly defies her self-professed anxiety.
Her experience spans theatre, screen, dance, and singing. She recently debuted her first play, The Remaining, as part of the New Zealand Fringe Festival, where it received the Fringe Melbourne Indigenous Exchange Award. At the festival, Waikamania was also recognised as Most Promising Emerging Ngā Toi Artist. Beyond performance, she is an accomplished public speaker and became the youngest person in Aotearoa to deliver a TED Talk at just thirteen years old. With fierce dedication to her craft, Waikamania continues to develop her skills and is eager to collaborate with artists who share her passion for storytelling.
