Stretch Goal Message
WOAH! We are so THANKFUL to all our incredible donors!
The support from you has made our team feel over the moon and we truly are grateful for the help in creating our wicked and wondrous world. With this show, we want to spark action in our wider community and you have proven how powerful a helping hand can be.
Now that our goal has been accomplished (and in such a short time), we want to see if we can aim a little higher…
We have stretched our goal at an additional $1,000 and with all the support we’ve been lucky to receive, we’re certain we can get there. This additional money will go towards paying our talented collaborators what they deserve, alongside extra rehearsals and spaces for them to conintue their mahi in this production.
We have 15 days left to achieve this goal, so please spread the word and give what you can ⭐️ Thanks to your help, we can begin to really spark the spirits to those most in need!
Overview
Kindred Spirits’ Crocodillian Oblivion debuts at BATS Theatre May 23rd-30th! Written by Izzy Christie and co-directed by Izzy Christie and Ella Ford, Crocodillian Oblivion follows a chorus of crocodiles navigating the currents of captivity while family drama storms.
This play has everything! A revenge plot, family betrayal and … talking crocodiles? “Crocodillian Oblivion” follows Peggy Sue and her friend Marta as they return to her family’s crocodile farm to expose its animal cruelty to the world. On the way they are foiled by her malevolent brother Damon and The Conductor who are intent on torturing the Crocodillian Citizens to maximise their profits. Will the crocodiles survive the play? It’s up to Peggy Sue and Marta to save them! After last year’s “enigmatic” and “wondrously compelling” (Smyth, Theatreview) feminist eco-thriller Strays, Izzy Christie and Ella Ford have returned to BATS Theatre for a dazzling new project sure to make jaws drop.
