Get Georgia to Shakespeare's Globe!

Kia ora, my name is Georgia Lee, and last year I was fortunate enough to be selected as 1 of just 24 students to represent Aotearoa and perform at Shakespeare’s Globe in London this July, as part of the  Shakespeare Globe Center New Zealand (SGCNZ) Young Shakespeare Company 2026.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity which I’m very proud to have to have - but to get there I need to raise $12,670. 

I am an 18-year-old originally from Gisborne Tairāwhiti who has moved to Auckland to study Midwifery at Auckland University of Technology. Acting has been a passion of mine ever since I was little, and it’s where I’ve found my confidence, connection, and my voice.

As a member of the Young Shakespeare Company, I will travel to London in July and spend 3 weeks in workshops, studying Shakespeare, rehearsing a play and in the end perform on Shakespeare’s Globe stage.
