Additional funds raised will contribute towards marketing and advertising expenses, helping us build audiences in the UK and spread the news of our season far and wide.
Extra support will also reduce our reliance on box office sales for covering baseline production costs.

Overview
After four critically acclaimed seasons across Auckland, Wellington and Melbourne, Ratbags Theatre are touring the award-winning clown-fruit-mash-up, How to Art, to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this August. The show has been programmed for a 24-night season at the Underbelly Cowgate, one of the most prestigious venues at Edinburgh Fringe, and a hub for world-class clowning works.
This will be the fifth and largest season of How to Art, marking a giant step for the team to connect with new audiences and grow our artistic practice abroad. The dates are set, the plane tickets are booked, now these clowns need your support to tackle the infamous Fringe-flation and help make our UK premiere a success.

On behalf of the How to Art team, we want to say a HUGE thank you to every one of you for helping make our fundraising campaign an enormous success! We have been completely blown away by the generous donations given over the past month. Making it to 108% is such an incredible achievement; our hearts are full, and we are so deeply appreciative.
This UK season is a huge step for us as artists, and to have the support of our community means the world. You’ve helped to make this ambitious tour possible, setting us up for success and creating a more sustainable environment for presenting our work abroad.
