Project Updates
Penina o le Moana 2024
We have completed our aganu'u block for 2025 and are hard at work prepping for our Siva Samoa block starting this month. As we ramp up to our next Boosted campaign, we wanted to share some highlights from 2024 with you all.
March: Moana Nui Festival
We joined our wider Samoan Community and performed for the annual Moana Nui Festival. We utilised costumes from the previous year and it was the first time our early childhood and primary children participated in Moana Nui. Our community were incredibly proud to showcase our Penina, who opened the Samoan item.
October: Programme Launch
We launched our 2024 programme on Tuesday 22 October with a full house at Southern Rugby Club. It was lovely to see a number of new participants, particularly in the Early Childhood group.
December: Santa Parade
For the first time, we coordinated a float in the Dunedin Santa Parade. We were warmly received by the crowd and the Penina had a great time. This is on the roadmap for later this year!
December: Fiafia Night
The 2024 season was a huge sucess and the Fiafia Night was no exception, this in particular, would not have been possible without your support of this campaign. Once again fa'afetai tele lava <3
